MIRANDA
LAMBERT WINS THREE ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS
Lambert
Celebrates Mother’s Day With Country Weekly and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Miranda
Lambert won big at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards. The singer was
a three time winner, claiming her first Top Female Vocalist of the Year trophy,
as well as first Video of the Year for her chart-topping “White Liar.”
But it was her Album of the Year win for Revolution that earned Lambert a place in ACM history as the first
solo female ever to win Album twice – a feat made all the more impressive
because she accomplished it with two consecutive albums. Her sophomore
album Crazy Ex-Girlfriend won Album of
The Year in 2008.
Beyond the ACM recognition for Album of the Year, Revolution has received perfect reviews from countless publications
including 4 stars from Rolling Stone and USA Today, an ‘A’ from Entertainment
Weeklyand exuberant praise from SPIN, NY Times, Washington Post and more.

With
Mother’s Day just around the corner, Miranda will be featured with her best
friend - her mom Bev –on the cover ofCountry Weekly’s Mother’s Day
issue, on stands May 3rd. Lambert and her mom talk about how they are
able to work together as a team and the importance of keeping the family close,
despite crazy schedules.
Miranda
will also celebrate the holiday in a special Mother’s Day episode of “Extreme
Makeover: Home Edition” as a “Get On The Bus” volunteer and will perform her
current single, “House That Built Me.” Miranda will travel to Tulsa, OK,
to meet Toen and Amy Starkweather, whose nine-year-old son Ethan suffers from a
rare disorder called Prader-Willi syndrome. This episode airs Sunday, May
9th (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) on ABC.
