Miranda Lambert to Perform
July 24 on ABC’s
Good Morning America
and CMA Music Festival:
Country Music’s Biggest Party

Nashville, Tenn. (July 10, 2006) -- Columbia recording artist Miranda Lambert is making the summer sizzle as she heats things up for country music fans on ABC this month.   On Monday, July 24, Miranda will ignite the spark with a live performance of her hit song “Kerosene” on Good Morning America.  Later that evening, she’ll fan the flames as one of the featured performers on ABC’s CMA Music Festival:  Country Music’s Biggest Party, which airs at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on the network.
 
Miranda’s tour schedule is packed with shows across the country including several House Of Blues gigs.  She hits the west coast with stops at the Anaheim House Of Blues on July 13th and to the famed Sunset Strip location in Los Angeles on July 14^th.  In August, Miranda crosses the country to the House Of Blues in Atlantic City, New Jersey.  Some of the nation’s best fairs and festivals are also on the itinerary and Miranda has spent the first part of the summer bringing her fuel-injected show to fans from Atlanta, GA to Baton Rouge, LA.  

Summer is one of the singer/songwriter’s favorite times to tour as fairs and festivals allow her the chance to see many of her peers and influences on the road.  In Nebraska, she caught up to Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland and in Colorado, she and her crew spent time with Josh Gracin.  On a recent night off in Atlanta, Miranda took her band to see Sheryl Crow and Jack Ingram at the legendary Fox Theatre.
 
“I always love watching the artists' shows that inspire me but it's rare that I have a chance to do so,” Miranda expressed.  “Getting to see Jack and Sheryl was both entertaining and a learning experience for me. Their shows take you to a whole other level and I'm glad that my entire band and crew got to go see it."  
 
Upcoming shows to catch Miranda include the “Country Thunder USA” in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin on July 19th, “Country Jam USA” in Eau Claire Wisconsin on July 29th, the Adams County Fair in Hastings, Nebraska on July 26th, the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines on August 13th, and the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis on August 16th, to name a few.
