(Nashville, TN - July 2, 2008)  If Miranda Lambert was aiming for a good summer, seems like she is right on track.   The reigning Academy of Country Music's Album of the Year winner now officially adds a top ten single to her expanding list of accolades as her latest record "Gunpowder & Lead" hit the No. 9 spot on the Country Aircheck country airplay chart this week.

Written by Miranda Lambert and Heather Little, "Gunpowder & Lead" is the second hit single from her current release Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.  After a steady climb to the upper ranks of radio there are no signs of cooling off yet.  Not to mention her live performance is a critical and fan favorite, always packing extra heat to her set-list.

In June, Miranda was surprised by label execs backstage at CMA Music Festival when she was presented a Gold plaque (RIAA Certified 500,000 units) for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.   This great news came on the heels of the ACM win in May, which Lambert says she will "celebrate every night for the rest of the year, it means that much to me!"
