May 3, 2006 (Nashville, TN) – Epic recording artist and ACM Top New Female Vocalist nominee Miranda Lambert will debut the video for current single “New Strings” on CMT’s Top 20 Countdown on Thursday, May 4, 2006.    Directed by Trey Fanjoy and shot on location in both Nashville and Chicago, the video gives fans a behind-the scenes glimpse of Miranda’s every day life on the road.

“We shot several scenes in a field of wildflowers that day, and I had awful allergies and had to keep taking medicine to get through it,” laughs Miranda.   “Trey is such an awesome director because she always makes me feel comfortable, and that day she wasn’t afraid to tell me if my nose was running!”

This snapshot into Miranda’s life includes time in a Nashville recording studio, hanging with her band on the bus, getting hair and makeup before an appearance, signing autographs at a meet & greet and a rocking live performance at Joe’s Bar in Chicago.

“This is our third video together and creatively it just keeps getting stronger and stronger.   I not only love Miranda’s music, but I also love her as a friend.    I’m following up a brooding and intense clip like Kerosene, so I wanted to show some other sides to her.   This is a ‘feel good’ song and the video follows suit,” explains Fanjoy.

Country Weekly Magazine will treat one lucky reader to an autographed pair of Justin boots like the ones worn in the video.   The June 6 issue will be on stands May 22.

Miranda’s most recent video accolades include three CMT Music Awards nominations for Breakthrough Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year and Video Director of the year, as well as an ACM nomination for Video of the Year all for the smash hit “Kerosene”
