Joining him this year, was the legendary Ronnie Milsap and 17-year-old singer/songwriter phenom Taylor Swift.  Receiving his 32nd platinum album plaque for his latest release, It Just Comes Natural, prior to the show, highlighted his Memphis stop at the FedEx forum. He's now earned more platinum certifications than any other artist in country music.

ACCOLADES

The Tennessean named It Just Comes Natural one of the Top 10 Albums of 2006.

“There’s a reason Strait is a Hall of Famer who still connects with No. 1 hits: His voice is wise and easy and cowboy-righteous, and he continues to record definitive versions of great country songs. With 32 platinum-selling albums, Strait is like the music equivalent of the New York Yankees, if the Yanks won every year and weren’t owned by a questionable fellow like Steinbrenner. Thank you, sir. Can’t wait for the next one.”

The Post Gazette named It Just Comes Natural the #1 Album of 2006.
